Since finishing her studies at SUNY Purchase with a degree in Psychology and Gender Studies, Adrien has traveled to over 30 countries and participated in an Americorps Program, which moved her out west for a year and a half. These travels have both strengthened her love of learning and exposed her to facets of the world and herself which she couldn't have experienced from the comforts of home. However, the time came to set down roots in her beautiful home state of New York. Adrien brings all that she has learned from the world and her studies into the classroom. Her continued fascination with psychology has brought her into the world of meditation and cognitive optimization in recent years. She uses meditation techniques with students who are susceptible to stress, anxiety, and frustration around certain subjects or test taking, targeting how to optimize learning and focus. From there she creates a compassionate space for her students so they can mitigate and learn through these feelings. With Adrien's help, the students feel more relaxed and tend to become more focused on their work. She can also bake a mean pie!
